TRANSFERRING CLIENT QUESTIONNAIRE

This questionnaire is for students who have completed training with another business/trainer and would like to begin training with Wise Canine.

If we determine that you have some, but not all of the skills required to attend Wise Canine classes at a more advanced level (for example: attending Level 2 Manners without first completing Basic Manners) we may request that you complete the prerequisite class. This will ensure that you and your dog will have the necessary skills to be successful in our classes.

Dog Information

Can your dog confidently perform the following behaviors when asked?

Please note that your dog should respond to a verbal cue/commend or hand signal without the need for physical prompts or corrections such as: pressure on the collar, pushing, pulling, forcing, jerking on a choke/prong collar, or applying shock using an e-collar.

Training Methods

We are committed to using training methods that are recommended by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior. This means that we do not recommend the use of physical force, intimidation, collar corrections, choke collars, prong collars, shock/e-collars, yelling, hitting, alpha-rolling etc. If you've used these tools in the past, there's absolutely no judgement. We're here to help you and your dog learn through positive methods. We want to make sure you're aware, and are a good fit for our classes.
